Why did you choose Richmond?
From the my first visit, the beauty of UR's architecture brought me in. I was in the middle of a college tour trip, so I wasn't focused on the school's statistics in the beginning session. After my tour, I was excited to start to learn more about what UR has to offer, at which point I decided to ED to Richmond. I didn't want to go to a big school where I would be like a small fish in a big pond, and I wanted to make sure that I could make a lasting impact. I also knew I would want to study abroad just like my brothers at their universities, so Richmond's offerings for opportunities abroad was further enticing to me. Additionally, I was pretty undecided going into college on what I wanted to study, so the liberal arts education style was important in my choosing. Upon being here for just one year, I can definitely say that it's been everything I've ever dreamed of, and the opportunities to involve yourself are endless. All of the people I've met through my classes, fraternity, and IMs amaze me when they talk about all it is that they do here, which influences me to work more expansively. Between the Business school and career services, I feel confident about my future even though I'm not sure exactly what it is I plan on going into. The resources available to me and all students at UR are endless, and having help from clubs and tutors when I was doing poorly in my Macroeconomics class, or having extra time that I felt would be useful in different ways, truly conveys the awesomeness at Richmond. I chose Richmond because I felt a deep connection very early on, and am extremely excited for my next three years here.
